Day out in London

An Amazing City

London is definitely a fantastic city to visit. It is cosmopolitan, multi-cultural and it has a wonderful history that you can learn about on your trip. For fabulous restaurants and multi-faceted entertainment it is difficult to beat. It can be visited with little cash but like anything, even a small budget will make your experience even better.

What to See

It is difficult to mention all that London has to offer in just one post but a good way to see a lot of the main sights is by hiring some transport – a lot of the main tourist spots are in central London and if you hire a limo for example, you will not only get a tour guide in the form of your driver but you will also get to see the main sights like the Shard and the London Eye. Not everyone wants to queue to get into these locations and sometimes these lengthy waits can ruin a holiday as well as taking up way too much time…and budget.

Free Entry

In preparation for your visit to the English capital, you should do some research on the official London websites. They offer fantastic advice on upcoming events and offers. A lot of the museums in London are free and the whole family can find something they enjoy in there. The Science Museum is one that never fails to entertain.

Other Areas of Interest

The South Bank is always a great destination for families. It offers brilliant views of a lot of the main London landmarks and the atmosphere there alone is worth a visit. Jubilee Gardens is another good destination. There is a green open space for the younger children to take advantage of and also a playground for under 11s.

Borough Market

In terms of food, Borough Market in Central London is a wholesale and retail food market that is certainly worth a visit. It is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London and sells a large variety of foods from all over the world, so you are sure to find something you like there. There is a fantastic atmosphere at the market also so you could go there for lunch and hang out and soak up the real London characters.
